The Bone Shavers

The Bone Shavers formed in 1987 in San Jose, CA. They were active in the South Bay/San Francisco club scene until 1992, releasing one record plus a compilation CD of all their recordings. The band re-formed in 2004 and now play a select number of shows each year.

The Bone Shavers are...

Bob Denike - vocals, Johnny Mojo - guitar,

Rory Koff - drums and Steve Burt - bass

(past members: Joey Myers - drums, Greg Martinez - drums)

Before banding together in The Bone Shavers, each member had spent time honing their skills in various other South Bay and Central Coast outfits such as The Kingpins, No Use For A Name, Diesel Queens, The Haywoods and Wimpy Dicks.

Known for their powerful blend of vintage rock 'n roll, garage rock, blues, punk rock and high energy R&B, The Bone Shavers are not psychobilly and they're not punk. They've managed to fuse their influences into a unique sound all their own.

Over the years The Bone Shavers have shared the stage with many of their musical heros and compadres including Reverend Horton Heat, The Blasters, Agent Orange, The Faction, Hellbillys, Rikk Agnew, JFA, Drunk Injuns and The Odd Numbers.

"So if you ever have the chance to catch these elusive musical iconoclasts live, do yourself a favor and make the scene, because their likes nowdays are few and far between. You have been warned!"

- Professor Zeb Von Patterson, Esq.
